A Sparco direct fit sub-frame for the Renault Clio 182. Part number 00499060-182.
The 182 is a car people put seats in for one reason above all others: the standard driving position sits you high and the standard seat lets you move about in it. A bucket on a direct fit frame fixes both at once, and the frame is what turns that from a fabrication job into a bolt in one.
Fitment
Steel, presenting the 345mm by 271mm base mount pattern, picking up on Renault’s own floor mounting points. That pattern covers Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats. Some older text on this range said the frames suit only same brand seats, which was never true of this spacing.
A side mount competition shell needs side mounts or adaption bars on top of the frame. That is the usual route in a 182, because most people fitting one are going to a fixed back.
Ordering
Sold singly, one frame per seat, and handed. Choose RHD driver or RHD passenger and order twice for a pair.
Tell us the seat when you order. Whether the car takes a full replacement frame or adaption bars is decided by the vehicle, and the photograph on the page is illustrative.
If harnesses are part of the plan, do the seat first and the anchor points second. Seat height moves your shoulder line, and that is what decides where the shoulder straps are allowed to go.
Have you written anything useful for my car?
Yes: Roll cages for the Renault Clio 182: the ones we would actually fit, and Renault Clio 182 Fitted With Mirco Seats And TRS Harnesses. Those are written around the same car, from real fittings and customer questions, so they are worth a look before you decide.
Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Renault Clio 182. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern). The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Sparco frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
