The Sparco Legend in Martini Racing colours. Part number S008021ZMR.
Navy blue and grey with the Martini stripes, on a carbon kevlar shell. It is a period reference done properly rather than a decal on a black seat, and in a car built around that livery it is the seat that finishes the job.
Two things make the Legend unusual
The construction is carbon and kevlar rather than carbon alone. Carbon is stiff and fails suddenly; kevlar is tougher and holds together when it is damaged. Building a shell from both gives stiffness without brittleness, which is why the combination turns up where impact behaviour matters.
And it is a base mount competition seat, which is rare. Almost every FIA homologated bucket is side mount only. Base mounting means it can go onto a vehicle specific sub-frame without side mounts, which in some cars is the difference between a straightforward installation and a fabrication job.
Specification
FIA 8855-1999 homologated, fixed back, four and six point harness compatible, head and neck restraint friendly.
Seat only. You need a vehicle specific sub-frame, and mounts if you side mount it. Tell us the car and how you want it mounted.
Ask us to read the manufacture date off current stock, because an FIA seat expires on a date tied to when it was built.
