The Schroth Harnesses Caterham II 4 Point harness belt features: A lightweight 4 point professional harness designed specifically to fit the Caterham 7 range of cars. The 3″ wide shoulder straps have lightweight alloy adjusters and clip in end fittings. The lap straps are 2″ wide and also have bolt in fittings. The Caterham II ASM harness is FIA approved for motorsport use and features anti-submarining (ASM) technology which helps prevent sliding under the harness in a frontal impact. Harnesses are side specific so choose the one which corresponds to the side of the car it is to be fitted to.

How long does an FIA harness last?
Every FIA harness carries a not-valid-after date on its label, and that date is what the scrutineer checks, not the purchase date. Our guide on how long FIA harnesses last explains the labelling and when replacement is due, and buying new gets you the freshest date the maker currently produces.

What does the strap width mean for me?
This is a 3 inch shoulder to 2 inch lap harness. The shoulder width choice interacts with whether you run a HANS device, and our guide on 3 inch versus 2 inch harnesses explains which to pick and why.

Do I need a HANS-specific harness?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts, and not road harnesses, however good they are at their own job. This 4-point harness is for use without a head and neck device; if you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA HANS-pattern belts in the range and we will spec the right one.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 4-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.

The Rallye and Profi ranges are held in stock

Those go out for immediate dispatch. We bring a batch of Schroth harnesses into the UK once a month, so an order can be allocated onto the next regular delivery.

Vehicle-specific harnesses take longer

Special order Schroth harnesses run to 4 to 6 weeks. The Westfield and Caterham harnesses are made to order and can take longer still, because they are built for that car rather than picked from stock.

If your car is one of those, ask us first. We would rather give you the real timescale than have you waiting on a harness that was never on a shelf.

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.
