The Renault Laguna ran across three generations from 1993 to 2007. The second generation, built from 2001 to 2007, was the first car ever to earn a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, which made it a benchmark for its era. Both generations use Renault’s large family car platform but with differing floor structures, and Recaro produced sub-frames for the Laguna across its production life.
Part number 683119 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the Laguna. It attaches to the OEM floor mounting positions, carries integrated fore-aft runners, and brings the Recaro seat to the correct height and angle for the car. The Laguna’s floor uses fixings common to other large Renault products of the period, but the seat height geometry is specific to the Laguna’s more upright cabin design.
The Laguna was a car often chosen for high-mileage work, and the standard seats reflected comfort over grip. Fitting a Recaro Sport or Sportster CS changes the driver’s experience markedly on longer journeys. The Laguna’s long-wheelbase stability on motorways suits a seat with better lumbar support and shoulder location than the standard fit.
This sub-frame is for Recaro brand seats only. It covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted competition shells require different hardware. Pricing is per frame, one seat each. If you are fitting both front seats, you will need two. Tell us your Recaro model when ordering so we can confirm the complete kit.
