The Opel Zafira-A was produced from 1999 to 2005 and introduced the FlexSpace system that gave it genuine seven-seat capability without the bulk of a full MPV. Its base platform was the GM F, the same underpinning used by the Astra G. The OPC variant of the Zafira-A had 200 bhp and handled well enough to be taken seriously at track days, which is unusual in a seven-seat MPV.
Part number 865416 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the Zafira-A. It uses the factory floor mounting points specific to the F-platform Zafira and includes fore-aft sliding runners for the Recaro seat. The Zafira-A and the Astra G share a platform but not their front seat fixing geometry, so the Zafira-A sub-frame is its own design rather than an adaptation of the Astra unit.
Zafira OPC owners are the most active market for this sub-frame, but the A is also fitted in non-OPC cars by owners who have covered high mileage and want better support. The standard Zafira-A seat was designed around family versatility and uses the seat base as part of the FlexSpace fold, which means it has none of the lateral hold that a Recaro provides.
This sub-frame is for Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted shells require separate adaptor hardware. Price is for one frame. Contact us with your Recaro model to confirm the complete kit.
