The Opel Omega ran across two generations, the A from 1986 to 1993 and the B from 1994 to 2003. In the UK it was sold as the Vauxhall Omega. It occupied the executive segment alongside the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class of its era and was used extensively as a company car, police vehicle, and long-distance transport. The Omega B in particular was a competent motorway car with well-regarded dynamics for a large rear-wheel-drive saloon.
Part number 863516 covers the Opel Omega sub-frame. It attaches to the factory floor fixing positions and provides fore-aft sliding travel for the Recaro seat. The Omega’s floor uses fixing geometry specific to its large rear-wheel-drive platform, separate from the front-wheel-drive Vectra or Astra that Opel ran alongside it.
The Omega 3.0 V6 and the four-cylinder Ecotec variants were both used in competition, and the car has a small but loyal following in classic touring car events. Recaro seats in an Omega tend to be a comfort upgrade for drivers covering serious mileage rather than a track-day installation, though the car’s rear-wheel-drive balance makes it usable on circuit.
This sub-frame works with Recaro brand seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted competition shells need separate hardware. The price is for one frame. Contact us with your Recaro model before ordering.
