The Citroen Xsara 4-door (saloon) is the less visible sibling to the more common Xsara hatchback, but both share the same platform that Citroen ran in the World Rally Championship with Sebastien Loeb at the wheel. That motorsport context gave the Xsara a following among club competitors and enthusiasts who bought the road car for the association with the WRC project. The 4-door body gave slightly more cabin rigidity and the same seat mounting as the hatchback variants.

Part 686619-1809 is Recaro’s sub-frame for the Xsara 4-door. Note that the base code 686619 is shared with the Citroen Xantia sub-frame (686619), and the -1809 suffix marks this as the Xsara 4-door variant. The two cars share some platform hardware but the seat mounting positions differ enough that the correct kit matters. The Xsara frame mounts to the OEM floor points without drilling and carries integrated sliding runners.

These sub-frames work with Recaro base-mount reclining seats and base-mount bucket seats. Side-mounted competition shells will not fit without separate adaptor bars. One frame per seat. Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
