This Recaro direct-fit sub-frame (part number 862616) is engineered for the Audi TT built before May 2006, covering the first-generation 8N platform. The frame bolts to the TT’s factory floor mounting points using the OEM hole pattern with no drilling required.

The 8N TT had a notably compact cabin. The original seat position was low and close to the tunnel, which creates a tight geometry that generic side mounts do not always reproduce correctly. The Recaro sub-frame positions the seat at the right height for the 8N’s seatbelt anchor point, avoiding the shoulder belt cutting across the neck that can result from incorrect seat height in a small coupe.

Fore-aft runners are included, so adjustment is retained. Fits Recaro base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Does not fit side-mounted competition shells without additional adaption hardware. One sub-frame per listing, covering one seat position. For both driver and passenger, add to cart twice. When ordering separately from a seat, note your Recaro model in the checkout comments so we can confirm the combination before despatch.

If your TT is a 2006 model or later (Mk2/8J platform onward), the sub-frame listed for the Audi TT from 2006 onwards is the correct part instead.

Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
