Recaro’s direct fit sub-frame for the BMW 1 Series E87, 350 per frame, which is per seat.

Which model

The E87 is the 2004 to 2011 five door 1 Series, with the E81 three door, E82 coupe and E88 convertible on the same floor. The F20 that replaced it in 2011 is a different floor with its own frame. Driver’s or passenger’s side at order.

How a Recaro mounts

A Recaro seat sits on Recaro side mounts, fixed or flexible, and the mounts sit on this frame. Recaro’s statement is that the seat and its side mounts are homologated as a complete system. Order the mounts alongside the frame.

What the frame does

Nothing gets drilled. The factory seat bolts hold it, and it sets how low a Recaro seat sits in this car.

Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
