The fourth generation, the BL and BP. The third generation takes SB210 and the 2010 to 2014 cars take SB135, so order on the years.
The car worth building here
The Legacy GT of this generation has a twin scroll turbo and, in the JDM spec B versions, Bilstein damping. They are quick, understated and cheap now, which is a combination that produces a lot of builds.
If yours is an import, send us the chassis number rather than the registration, because Japanese specification cars differed from the ones sold here including in the seats.
Room to choose the seat
A Legacy is a big car inside compared with an Impreza. Shell width is not the constraint it is in the smaller car, so you have real freedom over the seat and a tall driver can be properly comfortable in a bucket. That is genuinely unusual and worth taking advantage of.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
