The OMP Tecnica 3×2 is a six point harness built for use with a head and neck restraint. Part number DA0203HL.
The 3×2 in the name is the specification and it is worth decoding, because OMP’s naming confuses people. It means three inch lap straps and two inch shoulder straps. The lap belt is wide, which spreads load across your pelvis, and the shoulder belts are narrow, which is what lets them sit correctly on a HANS yoke and feed crash load into the device the way it was tested to take it.
A three inch shoulder strap slides off a yoke. That is the entire reason this belt exists alongside the all three inch version.
Specification
FIA 8853-2016, six point, aircraft style buckle that releases everything on one lever. It bolts in or clips in, so it works with plates or with existing anchor points. Black or red.
Before you order
If you run a HANS, or your class requires one, this is the belt and the all three inch Tecnica is not.
Sort the anchor geometry first. Shoulder straps must run level or slightly downward from your shoulders to the bar behind you and never upward, and that is decided by how high the seat sits. Fit the seat, set the driving position, then work out where the belts go.
Ask us to read the expiry date off current stock if the belts have to cover a particular season.
