Standard 500 or Abarth
The Abarth takes a different part on the same HC871 stem, so check which car you have. The Abarth is the one that usually gets seated, for the obvious reason, but plenty of standard 500s get a seat for track days or for a driver who wants more support than the factory item gives.
Width is the deciding factor
This is a small cabin, one of the smallest we supply frames for, and a competition shell is wider at the shoulders than the seat coming out.
Measure between the tunnel and the sill before you choose. Send us the figure and we will tell you which shells actually go in rather than which we would like to sell you. Getting the frame right and the seat wrong is the expensive version of this mistake.
What you gain
Two things at once, which is unusual. The 500 sits you high, so a bucket drops you down as well as holding you in place. On most cars you get one or the other.
The frame
Steel, base mount, on the floor mounting points already in the car, so nothing is drilled and the originals come out whole.
Two bolt patterns: 345mm by 271mm for Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats, and 405mm by 290mm for Recaro. Sold singly and handed, so order twice for both sides.

Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Fiat 500. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern) and 405mm x 290mm (the Recaro seat pattern). If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on OMP frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
