The Seat Toledo Mk1, produced from 1991 to 1996 under the internal code 1L, was built on a lengthened Golf Mk2 platform and sold as a five-door saloon. It was the largest car in the Seat range of its time and attracted relatively little motorsport use in its own right, but the Golf Mk2 underpinnings have kept it relevant for owners who want the platform’s known-quantity chassis in a slightly more practical body. The 1L body’s floor geometry differs from the second-generation Toledo (1M, 1999 to 2004), and the pre-1998 cutoff on this sub-frame listing refers to the first generation.
This Corbeau sub-frame is matched to the Mk1 Toledo’s floor fixing positions. The Golf Mk2 platform in the Toledo’s lengthened body places the floor bolt points at positions specific to the Toledo’s dimensions rather than the Golf itself, so a Golf Mk2 sub-frame is not a direct substitute. The kit uses the original bolt points and the configuration may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set.
