The Seat Ibiza Mk1, produced from 1984 to 1993, was among the first cars Seat designed largely without Fiat engineering input. The 1.5-litre and 1.7-litre petrol engines covered the performance end of the range, and the SXi and Gran Sport trim levels attracted club motorsport interest in the late 1980s. The Mk1 Ibiza competed in Spanish national rally events in period and occasional examples still appear in historic rally classes today. The Mk1 uses a floor architecture that has no direct relationship to the later 6K or 6L generations: it was designed before Seat joined the Volkswagen Group, and the fixing positions reflect the engineering approach of a manufacturer working from its own platform rather than adapting a shared VW architecture.
This Corbeau sub-frame is designed for the pre-1993 Ibiza’s floor fixing positions. The kit uses the original bolt points in the Mk1 floor. The configuration, complete replacement frame or adaptation brackets, depends on the specific kit Corbeau have developed for this platform.
