The Porsche 924 (1976-1988) was the first front-engined, water-cooled Porsche, using a 2.0 litre Audi-derived engine in base specification. The 924 Turbo (internally the 931) added around 50bhp and was quick enough to embarrass larger-engined contemporaries. The 924 Carrera GT and GTS were limited-run motorsport homologation vehicles. The 924 uses a front-engined, rear-transaxle layout that produces near-50/50 weight distribution and leaves the driver footwell relatively uncluttered by drivetrain components. The Corbeau sub-frame is built to the 924’s floor plan and uses the existing bolt positions without adapting the bodyshell.

The kit connects to the 924’s standard floor fixings without drilling in most applications. ±10mm tolerance. Corbeau base-mounted bucket seats and reclining sport seats only; not for side-mounted FIA seats.

One sub-frame per seat at £245. Order twice for both positions. Let us know your Corbeau seat model at checkout to confirm the complete kit before dispatch.

What's included?

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#1. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner and resisitor kit
#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Bolt point tolerances:

Please note that OMP, Sparco and various other brands have a +/- 10mm tolerance on the bolt point locations on each of their sub-frames. This means that when installing the equipment into your vehicle, you may find that one or more of the bolt points may need extending for a perfect fit.

This is normal and, when installed by a skilled professional, it may only add five minutes to the total installation time. A prime example is the OMP Renault Clio MK3 frames and the BMW E46 frames as two bolt points need extending by 5mm in 75% of installations.

Drilling of frames and equipment may be required to complete your installation.

Matching seats and frames:

There are over half a dozen different bolt patterns in the industry for base mounted seats. There are over 30 different bolt patterns for side mounted seats. Aftermarket frames from different brands will have different bolt location points. 

Seats and frames are not a direct fit between brands. Seat frames are also not suitabled for OEM seats (Fitted into a vehicle from the factory) Please ensure to contact us for professional advice before purchasing your seat frames. We will be able to provide you a recommendation as to which seat frame is right for which seat.

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Corbeau frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Availability

Corbeau seats are handcrafted here in the UK

FIA bucket seats are built to order, typically 3 to 7 days from the day you order. Kevlar and carbon shells take longer, so ask us if you are working to a date.

Reclining sport seats are also made to order in your chosen trim, and run to a similar timescale.

Seats built to a specification you have chosen are made for your order, so our special order terms apply once production has started.
