The W201 is the 190-series Mercedes, built from 1982 to 1993. This sub-frame kit covers the later production window from 1988 to 1993. The 190 was the compact entry into the Mercedes saloon range and was available with four-cylinder and six-cylinder petrol engines, plus a diesel. The 190 2.5-16 Cosworth, developed with Cosworth Engineering, produced 195bhp from a 16-valve 2.5 litre engine and is the model that cemented this generation’s reputation in motorsport circles; it was used in a dedicated race series at the 1984 Nürburgring event that included Senna, Lauda, and Rosberg. No drilling is required in most applications. ±10mm bolt tolerance applies, and occasional minor filing is needed. Base-mounted bucket seats and reclining sport seats only; side-mounted FIA race seats are not compatible.
