Tailor made subframes for the classic Mini, built to bolt straight onto the car’s original seat mounting points. Part number COB-Mini-Frame.
No drilling and no fabrication. The frame picks up the holes that are already in the floor, which is the difference between a direct fit frame and a universal one, and it is why the seat ends up sitting square rather than wherever the brackets let it.
The runners are included
The sliding runners come with the frame at no extra cost, so the seat still moves fore and aft once it is in.
That is worth knowing when you are comparing prices. Sparco, Planted, OMP, Recaro and Corbeau all sell the runner as a separate part on top of the frame, so a Cobra frame that looks dearer on the headline figure is often the cheaper complete answer once you have added everything you actually need.
Two versions, and which one you need
The standard frame bolts in at the front with the rear legs sitting on the floor. The second version adds a rear locking bar, which lets the frame lock into place at the back as well.
Which one you need is decided by the car rather than by preference. If your Mini came with seats that locked to the floor, it is an MOT requirement to fit that type again. Tell us what the car has now and we will make sure you get the right one.
Before you order
These are made to work with the Cobra seat range. Anything else is a cross compatible component rather than a designed pairing, so tell us the seat if it is not a Cobra and we will check it before anything ships.
Base mount at the standard Cobra 291mm x 330mm pattern.
Priced per frame, which fits one seat. Choose driver side, passenger side, or the pair.
