920mm tall and 400mm wide

Those two figures together are what make this seat unusual. It is the tallest shell in the Roadster range by a long way and one of the narrowest seats Cobra build, at 9.5kg with a 580mm cushion.

Tall and narrow is exactly what a seven style cockpit needs from a driver who wants proper shoulder support. A short shell leaves a tall driver unsupported where it matters, and a wide one simply does not go in. This is the answer to both at once, and there are not many.

The 580mm cushion is short, which is a consequence of the packaging rather than an oversight. In a car where your legs are already stretched out towards the pedals it matters less than it would in a saloon.

Harness slots included

Unlike the standard Roadster 7, where the holes are an extra cost option, this one comes with the slots. If you are running a four point harness that removes a decision and a delay.

Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated, so it suits fast road, track and kit car use rather than anything scrutineered to FIA rules. Base mount, 4 point compatible.

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK. Each seat and product is lovingly created. On average, this takes around 4-6 weeks. (product specification depending) When ordering Cobra seats, you know you are getting a high-quality British product made to your specification.

What do I need to fit it to my car?

How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.
