The Type VGR Tartan (SS 45GR) puts a red tartan fabric insert into the VGR shell, with black vinyl bolsters. It is one of two VGR variants with a patterned cover, the other being the VGR Vinyl and Suede (SS 45B). The red tartan reads well in retro and classic builds where plain black or stitching colours would look too modern.
Red tartan is the more traditional of the two patterned options in the VGR range. It suits period interiors where the owner has preserved or matched original trim details, or builds with Scottish theme elements: tartan carpets, heritage-colour bodywork. The VGR Vinyl and Suede (SS 45B) is the same price and a better fit for an interior that wants texture without colour.
