A pair of PCI Racing sliding sub frames for the Mazda MX-5 Mk4, the ND chassis. Part number SM-16MX5-S2-X2.
Both sides in one order. In an MX-5 that is the usual case, because the passenger seat is where an instructor or a co-driver sits and a standard seat next to a competition bucket is awkward to live with.
Check the chassis
These are for the ND, 2016 onward. The NC before it is a different car underneath and takes different mounts, so order on the chassis code rather than the model name.
The slider
The seats move fore and aft after installation, which suits an ND because most are still road cars. PCI’s slider bolts to the base with four bolts where a conventional slider uses two, which they rate as twice as strong as two bolt mounting.
If you want the lowest possible fitment and never need the seats to move, the ND adjustable mount sits lower and costs less per side.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, five and six point sub belt mounting locations built in.
Before you order
Tell us the seats and your height. In an MX-5 head clearance with a helmet on is the constraint, and the shell decides as much as the mount does.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on PCI frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a side-mount frame: the seat hangs between side brackets bolted through its flanks, the motorsport-style stack that gives fine height and angle control. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
