Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R Seat Installation: Every Frame, Every Hole Pattern And Which Seats Fit
This is the frame guide for the R33 GT-R (BCNR33). It lists every frame we have found that is matched to the BCNR33. It draws the mounting patterns to scale, and it sets seat brands against each frame so you can see which seat goes on which rail.

The Planted SB119-R33 is a base plate for the factory mounting points, and the runner for your seat sets the hole pattern, so Sparco, OMP, Corbeau, Recaro and Cobra seats all go on it. The BRIDE FG is a sliding side mount rail, 290mm x 395mm, that sits the seat up to 50mm lower. For a GT-R you only need to tell us it is a GT-R and which side.

The routes: what goes under what
There are three ways to fit a bucket seat in a BCNR33. A fixed back bucket seat with side mounting holes goes on a side mount rail, the BRIDE FG or IG. A reclining or base mount seat can use the bottom mount BRIDE MO.
The Planted SB119-R33 and SB119 are base plates that take any base mount seat. The runner sold for your seat sets the hole pattern, whether it is a Sparco, OMP, Corbeau, Recaro or Cobra. A side mount seat goes on the Planted bracket with Planted side mounts.
Every frame here bolts to the car’s original floor mounting points. Nothing is drilled, and the standard seats come out whole. Keep them, and label the fixings.
The hole patterns, drawn to scale
The FG and IG are side mount rails, 290mm long by 395mm across, and the seat is screwed from the side. The MO is a bottom mount rail with two patterns. They are 330mm x 290mm and 271mm x 345mm, so seats with either base pattern can use it.
The Planted bracket is not tied to one pattern. It is a base plate, and the runner for your seat carries the pattern: Sparco, OMP and Corbeau share 345mm x 271mm, Corbeau also drills 291mm and Cobra uses 291mm x 330mm, and Recaro is 405mm x 290mm. The panel on the right draws those on one scale.
Every frame listed for the BCNR33
We went through the Skyline frame listings for the BCNR33 chassis code. Four BRIDE rails and two Planted brackets are matched to it. The BRIDE FO, RO, XL and FX rails on the site are listed for other Skylines (R30, R31, the GC series, R34, V35 and V36), so none of them is listed for the BCNR33.

Figures come from the listings. For a right hand drive car the driver's rail is the right side and the passenger's rail is the left side. The FG passenger side is the same FG rail listed under the Nissan 180SX, Silvia and Skyline range.

Runners that go on the Planted bracket
The runner for your seat sits between the bracket and the seat. Sparco, OMP and Corbeau seats take the Sparco kit and Cobra seats take the Cobra Premium runners. Recaro seats take the Recaro double-locking runners.

Which seats suit which frame
BRIDE’s own pages name the seats each rail takes: the fixed bucket series and Recaro SP-G, Sparco PRO DRIVE, Cobra and AAR Racing seats within the mounting dimensions on the side mount rails, and the Euroster, Digo and Euro II series and several Sparco reclining seats on the MO. The Planted bracket is the widest fit: any base mount seat goes on with its own runner, whichever brand it is, and a side mount seat goes on with Planted side mounts.

Green is a fit: named by BRIDE, a matching pattern on our listings, or a Planted base plate with the seat's own runner. Amber is a near match in the pattern. Grey means BRIDE does not name that seat for the rail. Red means the seat type does not suit that rail. The Planted column is the one route that covers every base mount brand.
Sliding or fixed, seat height, harness and FIA notes
The rail listings call the FG, IG and MO sliding seat rails. BRIDE rails are special order from Japan, ordered specifically for you. Once processing is complete they cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded. Check the side before you order, and contact us if a delivery date is critical.

Which frame fits a Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R?
For any base mount seat, the Planted SB119-R33 or SB119, with the runner for your seat. For a fixed back bucket seat with side mounting holes, the BRIDE FG or the BRIDE IG, both side mount rails at 290mm x 395mm. The BRIDE MO is the bottom mount rail.
Which seats fit the Planted bracket?

What is the difference between side mount and base mount?
A side mount seat has fixing holes in the sides of the shell. It goes on a side mount rail, the FG or IG. A base mount seat bolts down through its base onto a bottom mount rail, the MO.
Are the BRIDE rails sliding?
The listings call the FG, IG and MO sliding seat rails. The FG and IG sit the seat up to 50mm lower, depending on the car. The MO’s lowering depends on the car and the seat.
Which seats fit the FG and IG?
BRIDE name its fixed bucket series, the Recaro SP-G, the Sparco PRO DRIVE and Cobra and AAR Racing seats within the mounting dimensions. Any other seat goes on the Planted bracket instead.
Can I keep the standard seats?
Yes. The BRIDE rails bolt to the original floor mounting points and the Planted bracket picks up the factory mounting points, so nothing is cut and the standard seats come out whole. Keep them and label the fixings.

Decide the seat first. A base mount seat of any brand goes on the Planted bracket with its own runner, and that is the route I would use for most R33 builds. A fixed back bucket seat with side mounting holes goes on the BRIDE FG or IG, or on the Planted bracket with side mounts.
An R33 GT-R is a car worth keeping reversible, and every rail here bolts to the original mounting points.

I check three things: the side, the seat's hole pattern against the frame, and how much the seat needs to come down. The BRIDE rails give you up to 50mm on the FG and IG. That depends on the car.
The Planted bracket also keeps the original seat belt buckle working, which matters on a road car. The BRIDE rails are special order from Japan, so the side is checked before they are ordered.
