New PCI Adjustable Seat Mounts Now Available
New range, March 2023
PCI Racing adjustable seat mounts have just arrived with us for the first time. We have sold PCI's sliding sub frames for around 18 months and they have been one of the most popular ways to fit a bucket seat, so the adjustable version was the obvious next step.
The difference is simple. The adjustable mounts leave out the sliding runners, and that lets the seat sit lower. A low driving position is the thing customers have asked us for most, and these frames are PCI's answer to it.
- New for 2023: PCI Racing adjustable seat mounts, alongside the sliding sub frames
- No sliding runners, so the seat sits as low as PCI's range allows
- Low steel base plate with adjustable side mounts
- Laser cut and CNC formed from 1/8 inch carbon steel
- Vehicle specific kits bolt to the factory seat mounting points
- The whole PCI range has been updated with fuller information for 2023

What the adjustable mounts are
A PCI adjustable seat mount is a vehicle specific kit: a low steel base plate that bolts to the car’s factory seat mounting points, with side mounts on top that the bucket seat bolts to. The side mounts have a series of holes, so the height and angle of the seat can be set to suit the driver.
What it does not have is a slider. That is the trade. You lose the fore and aft travel of a runner, and in return the seat can sit lower and the mount is more rigid, because there is nothing between the seat and the base plate that can move. For a dedicated track car that is often the better choice. For a car that still does road miles, or is shared between drivers, the sliding sub frame usually makes more sense.
The mounts are laser cut and CNC formed from single pieces of 1/8 inch carbon steel, with the bends placed to add stiffness where thicker metal would otherwise be needed. They are powder coated, and the side mounts carry PCI's stainless steel badges.
We have started with the cars that asked for low frames most often, and the cars where the sliding version sold best: BMW 3 Series models, the Nissan 350Z, Honda Civics and Integras, the Mazda MX-5 and more.

The sliding sub frames, updated for 2023
Alongside the new mounts, we have been through the whole PCI Racing range and updated every listing. Each frame kit now says exactly which car models and model years it is made for, and we have added seat recommendations, current prices and more vehicle specific kits.
The sliding sub frames are still the right choice for most road cars. They keep a proper fore and aft adjustment, so the seat can be moved for different drivers or for getting in and out.
PCI side mounts on their own
PCI’s separate side mounts first came to us in 2022, and they have been updated with the 2023 information and colour options: black or gunmetal grey. They are cut from 1/8 inch steel, and each style has its own height adjustment pattern, so there is a choice of standard, taller and set back versions depending on the seat and the driver.
PCI Racing are based in Southern California and design and make their own brackets. We brought them to the UK because the kits are made for specific cars. Garreth’s advice is to check the frame, the seat and the car together before ordering; our guide to bucket seat mounting explains side and base mounting, and our guides for the Honda Civic EP3 and Nissan 350Z cover two of the popular fits.
What is the difference between a PCI adjustable mount and a sliding sub frame?
The adjustable mount has no sliding runners, so the seat sits lower and does not move; the sliding sub frame gives fore and aft travel but sits a little higher.
Do PCI seat mounts need drilling?
The vehicle specific kits bolt to the car’s factory seat mounting points.
What are PCI side mounts made from?
They are laser cut and formed from 1/8 inch carbon steel and powder coated.
What colours do the PCI side mounts come in?
Black or gunmetal grey.
