This Mirco RTS-2 Stealth Edition came through the showroom this week, built to order and ready to go out, and Cameron pulled it aside to photograph properly before it went. It is the quiet version of the RTS-2. Where the GT and RTX-7 editions in the range go for 3D mesh and contrast stitching, the Stealth keeps everything the same shade of dark grey, diamond quilted through the centre panels and finished in a faux-suede that reads as imitation Alcantara.
Underneath the trim it is the same FIA 8855-1999 fibreglass shell as the rest of the RTS-2 line, side mount only, four point harness compatible, and built for a driver under 6ft with a 32in to 36in waist. £630 including VAT, and this one is already spoken for, but the shell is in stock for the next order.

What stealth edition means
The look
No contrast stitching, no embroidered colour, just dark grey faux-suede through and through, diamond quilted across the centre panels with the RTS-2 branding debossed into the bolster instead of picked out in a different colour. Garreth likes it for a car where the interior is doing the talking, not the seat.
The shell underneath
Same FIA 8855-1999 fibreglass shell as the rest of the RTS-2 range, gloss black on the back with two harness slot cutouts. The trim changes between editions, the structure and the approval do not.

Fitting it
Side mount only, so it needs a pair of brackets between the shell and your car’s subframe rather than a base and runners. Cameron will confirm the bracket for your specific car before anything ships, the bucket seat guide for your car is the place to check what your model takes.
Four point harness slots are built in. If you are running a HANS or similar and want to talk through belt widths and anchor points, tell us the car and we will confirm the right harness alongside the seat.

Common questions about the RTS-2 Stealth Edition
Does the RTS-2 Stealth Edition need a fitting frame?
Yes. It is side mount only, so it needs a pair of side mount brackets between the shell and your car’s subframe. Tell us the car and Cameron will confirm which bracket you need.
Can I use my car’s standard seat belt?
With harness slots built in, a harness is the right answer for this seat, not a lap and diagonal belt, and some competition regulations require one outright.
How do I know if I am the right size for it?
Measure across your hips and compare against the 32in to 36in waist rating. If you are between sizes, go up, a seat that is too narrow gets uncomfortable fast.
Can I get it in a different colour or with my name on it?
The listing shows other trim colours and shell colours available on request, and a personal name embroidery option. Ask us for the combination you want before you order.
Is the Stealth Edition FIA approved for competition?
It carries FIA 8855-1999 approval, the same as the rest of the RTS-2 range. FIA seats carry an expiry date from the year of manufacture, so check that against your championship regulations if it is going into a competition car.
