Lotus Emira bucket seat guide
2022 onwards
Lotus have said the Emira is the final internal combustion car they will build, which is most of why people are buying and keeping them rather than modifying heavily. A reversible installation is the sensible route on a car like this, and both mounting options below bolt in without permanent modification.
The Emira is considerably easier to get in and out of than an Elise or Exige, with a lower sill and a proper door aperture, but it is still a mid-engined two-seater with the tight packaging that comes with it.
- Two vehicle-specific mounting options, both bolt-in and reversible: the Tillett runner and bracket set (TEMIRA01) and the Planted Technology bracket (SB438)
- Both mounts are built to the Emira's own floor points and mounting geometry, fitting without modification
- The seat range here is Tillett's full FIA competition line, B6 through B10, plus Recaro Pole Position and Podium

Mounting
The Tillett Lotus Emira Runner And Bracket Set at £388.50 is built specifically for the Emira. Steel construction, bolt-in fitting, side mount configuration, road and track approved. Because it is built to the car’s own floor points and mounting geometry, it fits without modification and installs more cleanly than adapting a universal bracket to the same points.
The Planted Technology Seat Bracket at £187.46 is the other Emira-specific option, also bolt-in and reversible.

Mounting for the EmiraWhich bracket for a Lotus Emira
Both are Emira-specific and bolt in without modification. The Tillett set at £388.50 is built and sold as a matched runner and bracket pair, the more complete option if you are fitting a Tillett seat. The Planted bracket at £187.46 is the lower-cost route if you already have a seat in mind from another brand.
Competition bucket seats
Tillett’s FIA range runs from the B6 Screamer GRP at £1028.63 (also in XL at the same price) through the B6 Screamer Carbon/GRP at £1178.57, the B8 GRP at £959.49 and Carbon/GRP at £1092.49, and the B9 Carbon at £1896.30, up to the B7 Carbon Epoxy at £3051.72 (also in XL). The B10 at £959.49, also in XL GRP, sits alongside the B8.
Recaro’s range is the Pole Position at £829.50, Pole Position with ABE at £866.25, Podium GF at £1786.05, and the top of the range Podium CF at £3159.45.

The Tillett B6 Screamer GRP at £1028.63 is the practical starting point for track use. If weight matters more than budget, the B9 Carbon at £1896.30 is a genuine step down in mass. For the strongest support Recaro offer for this fitting, the Podium CF at £3159.45 sits at the top of what either brand lists here.

Do I need a Tillett seat to use the Tillett bracket?
No, but the Tillett runner and bracket set is sold as a matched pair with the runner, so it is the more complete option if you are fitting a Tillett shell. The Planted bracket works with seats from other brands too.
Is the installation reversible?
Yes, both mounting options bolt in without permanent modification.
Do you stock a roll cage or harness for the Emira?
Not currently. Ask us if you need one confirmed, this is a very new platform and aftermarket kit is still limited.
Which engine does the Emira come with?
A supercharged Toyota V6 or an AMG four cylinder, depending on the version. Neither affects seat or bracket fitment.
