Custom Cages Ford Fiesta and Focus Roll Cages
Custom Cages, Ford Fiesta, Focus, Ka and Puma
Twenty-seven kits across the Ford Fiesta, Focus, Ka and Puma. The range starts at £450 for a rear half track prep kit and runs to £1,818 for a T45 Multipoint weld-in. Cameron has been through every listing on this page. The Fiesta covers five generations, Mk1 to MK7, and on most of them you have three cage levels to choose between.
This guide covers the Fiesta from Mk1 to MK7, Focus Mk1 to Mk3, and the Ka and Puma. The Ford Escort, the Sierra and the classic Ford range each have their own Custom Cages kits and their own guide in this programme.
- 27 kits: Fiesta Mk1 to MK7 (14 kits), Focus Mk1 to Mk3 and RS/ST (8 kits), Ka (3 kits), Puma (2 kits)
- Starts at £450 for a bolt-in rear half kit, up to £1,818 for a Multipoint T45 weld-in
- The Fiesta Mk5 and Mk6 are unusual in the Custom Cages range: they have a full bolt-in cage option at £1,311, not just a rear half
- No CDS Multipoint on the Fiesta MK7 or Focus Mk2 and Mk3: the step from bolt-in goes straight to T45
- All kits UK made by Custom Cages

Three kit levels in this range
◫
Rear half track prep
Five bolt-in kits for the Fiesta MK2, ST MK6, ST MK7, Focus RS and Focus ST. No welder, fits with hand tools. At £450 they are the entry into structural rear protection for track days and car prep work. Not a competition cage, and most club class regulations ask for a full cage, so check your championship rules before ordering.
⚙
Six-point National bolt-in
Seven kits at £889 inc VAT, fitting with hand tools across the Fiesta Mk1 to MK7, Focus Mk1 and Mk2, Ka and Puma. Six-point CDS, built to the Motorsport UK published spec. The right starting point for club track days and lower national classes where a full weld-in cage is not required.
★
Multipoint weld-in
CDS at £1,311 and T45 at £1,818, available across most of the range. Needs a fabricator to install. The Fiesta Mk5 and Mk6 are notable: they have a full bolt-in CDS cage option at £1,311 as well, which is not common in the Custom Cages catalogue.
Fiesta Mk1 and Mk2
Four kits. The Mk2 has the widest choice: rear half DIY at £450, six-point National bolt-in at £889, CDS Multipoint weld-in at £1,311 and T45 Multipoint weld-in at £1,818. The Mk1 gets the bolt-in National and both Multipoint options. Garreth gets asked about T45 on the Mk1 and Mk2 fairly regularly, mostly from people running in Motorsport UK historic or national rally classes.
| Model | Kit type | Fixing | Steel | Price inc VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mk2 | Rear Half Track & Show DIY | Bolt-in | CDS | £450 |
| Mk1 and Mk2 | Six-point National Spec | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |
| Mk1 and Mk2 | International Multipoint | Weld-in | CDS | £1,311 |
| Mk1 and Mk2 | International Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
Prices include VAT. Every kit and its individual spec is in the product cards below.
Fiesta Mk3 and Mk4
Three kits, the same structure as the Mk1 without a rear half: six-point National bolt-in at £889, CDS Multipoint weld-in at £1,311 and T45 Multipoint weld-in at £1,818. Cameron gets fewer enquiries on this generation than the Mk1 and Mk2 but the range is there and priced consistently with the rest.
Fiesta Mk5, Mk6 and ST150
Four kits, and the most unusual section in the Fiesta range. The Mk5, Mk6 and ST150 have a full bolt-in CDS cage at £1,311. That is a full cage, fitted with hand tools and no welder, not a rear half. It is one of the few full bolt-in options in the Custom Cages catalogue and Cameron flags it regularly to people who cannot get a fabricator involved but still need the full structure.
There is also a Mk5 Junior International Multipoint in CDS at £1,311, a T45 Multipoint at £1,818 for the Mk5, Mk6 and ST150, and an ST MK6 rear half DIY kit at £450. If you are running in a class where the Junior spec is accepted, Cameron can confirm it before you order.
Fiesta MK7
Three kits: ST MK7 rear half DIY at £450, six-point National bolt-in at £889 and T45 Multipoint weld-in at £1,818. There is no CDS Multipoint on the MK7, so the step from the bolt-in goes straight to T45. If you are building a MK7 for a class where CDS is required, ring and Cameron will go through what Custom Cages can do.
Focus: Mk1 to Mk3
Eight kits across three generations. The Mk1 (pre-2005) has the most choice: six-point National bolt-in at £889, CDS Multipoint weld-in at £1,311 and T45 Multipoint weld-in at £1,818. The Mk2 (2006 onwards) has a six-point National at £889 and a T45 Multipoint at £1,818, no CDS Multipoint. The Mk3 (2010 onwards) has a T45 Multipoint only.
The Focus RS and ST each have a rear half DIY bolt-in at £450. Garreth’s note is that the RS and ST versions attract more cage enquiries than the standard Focus, and the rear half is usually where those conversations start before someone decides whether to go further with a full weld-in build.
| Generation | Kit type | Fixing | Steel | Price inc VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mk1 (>05) | Six-point National Spec | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |
| Mk1 (>05) | International Multipoint | Weld-in | CDS | £1,311 |
| Mk1 (>05) | International Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| Mk2 (06>) | Six-point National Spec | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |
| Mk2 (06>) | International Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| Mk3 (2010>) | Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| RS and ST | Rear Half Track & Show DIY | Bolt-in | CDS | £450 |
Prices include VAT. Every kit is in the product cards below.
Ka and Puma
Five kits across the Ka and Puma. The Ka has three: six-point National bolt-in at £889, CDS Multipoint weld-in at £1,311 and T45 Multipoint weld-in at £1,818. The Puma has two: six-point National CDS at £889 and a T45 Multipoint at £1,818, no CDS Multipoint. Cameron gets Ka enquiries mostly from one-make event and national class builds. The prices sit at the same points as the rest of the range.
💬
Not sure which kit fitsTell us the generation and the class
The Fiesta spans five generations and several cage levels, and some classes in the same championship ask for different specs on different generations. If you are between the bolt-in and the weld-in, or not sure whether the class you are building for accepts a National spec cage or requires an International, ring 0115 9893488 and Cameron will go through it with you before you order.
Common questions about the Fiesta and Focus range
Is there a cage for the Ford Fiesta MK8?
Custom Cages do not currently build a kit for the Fiesta MK8. The kits on this page cover the Mk1 through MK7. If you have a MK8 and want to know about other options, ring 0115 9893488 and we can tell you what is available.
What is the difference between the rear half kit and a full cage?
The rear half kits (Focus RS, Focus ST, Fiesta MK2, ST MK6, ST MK7) bolt onto the rear section of the car only. A full cage runs the length of the cabin. Most club class regulations ask for a full cage, not just a rear half, so check your championship’s own rules before ordering.
Should I choose CDS or T45 for a Fiesta or Focus cage?
For most club rally, sprint and track day builds, CDS built to the Motorsport UK published spec is the right cage. T45 earns its place once the championship you are building for asks for it or the kit you want only comes in T45. Our T45 vs CDS guide goes through the full decision if you want to read it first.
What does "National Spec" or "International" mean on the kit name?
Custom Cages’ own naming for the level of bracing the cage is built to, National for UK national events and International for the fuller braced specification. Neither is a Motorsport UK or FIA term on its own, so check your championship’s own regulations rather than going by the kit name alone.
Can I fit the bolt-in cage myself?
The six-point National kits and the Fiesta Mk5 and Mk6 full bolt-in cage are all designed to fit with hand tools, no fabricator needed. The Multipoint weld-in kits need a fabricator to install properly. If you are not sure which type your class requires, ring before you order.
Does this page cover every Ford cage Custom Cages make?
This guide covers the Fiesta, Focus, Ka and Puma only. Custom Cages also build kits for the Ford Escort, the Sierra and the Sierra Cosworth, and the classic range including the Capri, Anglia and Cortina. Those all have their own guides in this programme.
Where this leads
For the steel question, our T45 vs CDS guide covers what the material difference means in practice. If the car is an Escort, the Ford Escort roll cages guide is live, and the Sierra and Sierra Cosworth guide covers that end of the Ford range too. The full Custom Cages range on sportseats4u.co.uk lists every other make we hold.
If you need Cameron or Garreth to check the kit against a specific championship, ring 0115 9893488.
