Made specifically for one of our customers, these seats were finished with a completely bespoke tartan fabric in a striking red, green, blue, and black colour scheme. The tartan wasn’t chosen from a standard Cobra catalogue either; it was personally sourced and supplied by the customer, making this a one-of-one design tailored to their taste.

Installation
All Cobra Monaco bucket seats are designed to give flexibility during installation, as they can be either base or side mounted depending on your setup. For side mounting, the Monaco uses a 290 mm bolt spacing, which is the same as most aftermarket side-mounted bucket seats. This makes it straightforward to pair with standard side mount brackets, giving you a solid and secure fit.
For base mounting, the Monaco uses a 291 mm bolt pattern, which is unique to Cobra. This means the seat will fit directly to Cobra sub-frames and 291 mm sliding runners, allowing for an adjustable installation that works perfectly when you’re using Cobra’s own hardware.
However, many vehicle-specific frames on the market from brands like Sparco, OMP, and Planted Technology are designed with a wider 345 mm bolt pattern, which doesn’t line up directly with the 291 mm spacing on the Monaco. In these cases, you have two options:
- Side mount the seat to gain the wider fixing point straight onto the frame
- Use adaptation plates when base mounting, which bridge the gap between the Monaco’s narrower bolt pattern and the wider frame pattern
This approach is common, as the 345 mm base pattern is the most widely used standard across aftermarket frames. Whether you side mount or use adaptation plates, both methods provide a safe and effective way to install your Cobra Monaco seat securely into your vehicle.
