The driver shell in the LE range
Corbeau make four LE shells for Lotus cockpits, and the names tell you the intent. The LE-Driver is cut to hold you on the driver’s side, where the LE-Standard at 785 is the more relaxed shape and the LE-Pro at 795 and LE-X at 820 sit between. Twenty five pounds covers the lot in tartan, so this is a shape decision, not a budget one.
The plain LE-Driver is 510. Everything above that is the wool tartan and the labour of trimming it.
System 1 is the fibreglass shell
Corbeau build the LE shells in three constructions: System 1 in fibreglass, System 3 in Kevlar and System 5 in carbon. This is the System 1, and this tartan version is base mount. Send us the model and year of the car before you buy, because a Lotus tub does not forgive a wrong fitting.
Eight tartans
Wool cloth, trimmed to order. Say which design when you buy and allow time, because it is made against your order rather than pulled from stock.
Road and track
No FIA homologation on the LE range. If you need one for competition, ask and we will suggest a shell that carries it.

Mounts and frames are separate.
Will I fit in this seat?

What do I need to fit it to my car?

How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.
Is there a Thigh Wide version of the LE-Driver?
No. The LE-Driver System 1 is a one size seat, and neither we nor Corbeau list a Thigh Wide version. If you have seen two different width figures quoted for this seat, they are most likely from a different seat or a different size chart, not two versions of this one. Send us your measurements and we will confirm the fit.
What does fitting the LE-Driver into a Lotus S1 shell involve?
Fitting the LE-Driver into an S1 (Lotus) shell means drilling a bolt hole for the mounting bolt, so a small modification is needed as part of the fit.
