Corbeau LE-Standard System 1 in Tartan Edition, 785. The entry shell in the Lotus LE range, fibreglass, fixed back, base mount, no head support.

The most affordable tartan Lotus seat

785 here, then the LE-Pro at 795, the LE-Driver at 815 and the LE-X at 820. Thirty five pounds across all four, so the money is not the decision. The LE-Standard is the more open of the shapes, which suits drivers who find the tighter shells restrictive on a road car.

The plain LE-Standard is 530. The rest is the tartan.

System 1 is fibreglass

Corbeau grade their shells System 1, 3 and 5 for fibreglass, Kevlar and carbon. This is the fibreglass System 1, and this tartan version is base mount. Tell us the Lotus model and year and we will confirm the fit before you order, because a wrong seat in a Lotus tub is not a five minute fix.

The cloth

Genuine wool tartan in eight designs, cut and trimmed in house one seat at a time. Choose the design when you order.

Road and track

No FIA homologation on the LE shells. If your use is competition and the class requires a homologated seat, say so and we will suggest one.

Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.

FIA bucket seats are built to order, typically 3 to 7 days from the day you order. Kevlar and carbon shells take longer, so ask us if you are working to a date.

Reclining sport seats are also made to order in your chosen trim, and run to a similar timescale.

Seats built to a specification you have chosen are made for your order, so our special order terms apply once production has started.
