The M2 Motorsport GTS is the composite bucket to look at when a track day seat has to be affordable without being nasty. Part number M2-RSGTS-B1B3.
The shell is a lightweight composite, trimmed in black Alcantara with a 3D spacer fabric centre panel. Spacer fabric is a knitted three dimensional cloth that moves air through itself, so the seat does not turn into a sauna over a long session, and the Alcantara on the bolsters grips your overalls where a smooth vinyl would let you slide.

M2 publish it at 6.1kg. Externally it is 860mm tall, 490mm wide and 450mm deep, and they quote it as generally suiting a 32 to 36 inch waist, which is a narrower bracket than a road shell gives you. If you are outside that, tell us and we will point you at something wider rather than sell you a seat you will not fit in.
It side mounts on the standard captive 290mm hole pattern. There are five harness holes in the shell, which lets you run either a five or a six point belt, and M2 rate the shell for use up to a full six point HANS belt.
Fixed back with no side impact head support, so it holds your body rather than your head. Supplied as the seat on its own, with no brackets or subframe.
Worth being clear on approval: this is not an FIA homologated seat. For a car being scrutineered, look at a seat carrying FIA 8855-1999 or the newer standard instead, and ask us which of those suits your class.
