Range update, March 2023
At the start of 2023 we updated our Cobra Roadster bucket seats with all the latest colour and trim options. Each listing now gives the seat's weight, mounting points and dimensions, and where we know a Cobra sliding runner suits a seat, we have bundled it on the listing.
New for 2023, Cobra's Signature range reaches the Roadster seats too. That means a choice of trim materials, and the freedom to mix colours, stitching and piping, so the seat can match the car.

The Cobra Roadster 7
The Roadster 7 is Cobra’s seat for seven style cars, where space is the whole problem. It is shaped to use the angle of the rear bulkhead, and the room that saves goes into legroom. The base is 400mm wide, much narrower than a normal sports seat, which is what lets it sit between the transmission tunnel and the sills.
We now have four Roadster 7 listings: the standard seat, the Sport version with harness slots, and a Signature version of each, which is where you can design the trim yourself. Harness holes cannot be added once a seat is trimmed, so decide on those before you order. Our guide to bucket seats for a Locust Seven shows what to measure first.

The historic Roadster seats
The historic Roadsters are for classic and vintage styled sports cars. They have traditional looks over a modern construction: a tubular steel frame with a suspension unit in the base, and a narrow base for cockpits where width is tight. They are deliberately shorter than most Cobra seats, which keeps the view behind clear in an open car.
The Roadster SS is the best seller, made with the dimensions of an AC Cobra replica in mind. The Roadster SR is its sibling, with more lateral support where space allows and a more upright, involved driving position.
We think these seats are very comfortable, and we have Roadster seats in the showroom, so the best way to judge is to come and sit in one. Garreth’s advice for any classic car is to measure the width at floor level and the height to the hood or roof before choosing, then send us the numbers so we can check them against the seat.

Why Cobra
We are an official Cobra distributor, and we keep Cobra seats on display in the showroom. Cobra have made racing buckets, reclining sports seats, motorsport seats, historic classic car seats and harnesses for decades, and they are one of the original seat makers in the UK. Every seat is hand trimmed, which is why the Signature options can be so wide.
