The MX83, and in Japan this is the Mark II and Chaser family. The X100 Mark II takes SB418.
Why a Cressida of all things
Rear wheel drive, a 7M-GE straight six, and a live axle that responds well to work. In America the Cressida became the cheap route into a Japanese rear drive saloon long after everybody had forgotten what it was, and it developed a drift following on exactly that basis.
It is also the same engine family as the Mk3 Supra, so parts knowledge crosses over.
What the seat is for
Being held in place while the car is sideways, and sitting somewhere sensible relative to the wheel. The standard Cressida seat is a comfortable executive saloon seat and offers nothing at all once the car is used that way.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
