A PCI Racing sliding sub frame for the Honda Prelude, 1997 to 2001. Part number SM-BB6-S1.
BB6 is the fifth generation Prelude and it takes a different mount from the BB1 generation before it. Order on the chassis code rather than the model name.
The slider
The seat moves fore and aft after installation, which suits a car still used on the road. PCI’s S1 slider bolts to the base with four bolts where a conventional slider uses two, which they rate as twice as strong as two bolt mounting.
If the car is a dedicated track car and you want the lowest possible fitment, the BB6 adjustable mount sits lower and costs less.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, with bends adding stiffness where thicker metal would otherwise be needed. Gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, and five and six point sub belt mounting locations built into the mount.
Those sub belt locations save fabricating a crotch strap anchor, which on a six point installation is usually the awkward part of the job.
Ordering
Side mount, for a competition bucket, bolting to the factory seat mounting points so nothing is drilled and the original seats come out whole.
Handed, order twice for a pair. Given the age, check the metal round the mounting points before you spend.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
