The seating position is the whole reason
The EP3 is one of the most commonly seated cars we deal with, and it is not because the standard seat is bad. It is because Honda put the driver high.
Getting lower is the single most effective change you can make to how this car feels. It moves your relationship to the wheel and the pedals, and it does more for confidence in the car than most suspension work does.
The earlier Civic Type R sits on the same HC815 stem with its own suffix.
Keep the Recaros
If your EP3 has the factory Recaros, they are wanted by other owners and they are worth money. A direct fit frame is reversible: it uses the mounting points Honda already provided, nothing is drilled, and the originals go back in when you sell.
The frame also takes a Recaro if you want to stay with the brand, because the plates carry the 405mm by 290mm Recaro pattern alongside the 345mm by 271mm spacing that Sparco, OMP and Corbeau use.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
