If the car still does everyday work
A Mk6 Golf is usually somebody’s actual transport as well as their enthusiasm, and that rules out a fixed back bucket for most people. No recline, harder to get in and out of daily, cold in January, and useless for anyone sitting behind you.
The Misano is the answer to wanting genuine support without giving any of that up. It reclines, it adjusts, and it holds you properly when you use the car the way you bought it for.
Plan the electrics
A Mk6 seat is wired for a side airbag and, on the passenger side, occupancy sensing. Disconnect either and the dashboard will tell you about it and keep telling you.

The seat
885mm tall, 590mm wide, 620mm deep on a 520mm base, at 11.5kg. Fibreglass backrest, steel base: built this way because a reclining mechanism needs rigid metal under it and the backrest needs to be as light as it can be. Base mount at 291mm x 330mm, 4 point harness compatible. Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated.
Anniversary trim, hand trimmed in the UK to your colours, with diamond quilted cross stitching and a carbon backrest. Seat only.
