The Kirkey 34 Series is the child containment seat with head surround, stepping up from the basic 24 Series bucket for junior drivers moving into more serious oval racing. The shell has an 18 degree fixed layback, containment sides and a head restraint section. It comes with a black cover. Width options are 12 and 14 inches, covering the range of young drivers in bandolero, junior sprint and other youth oval classes where a containment seat is required or strongly advisable. Part number is 34-Series.
The price is for seat and cover; brackets are not included. The 14 inch size suits older junior drivers; the 12 inch is for the smaller or younger child where a 14 inch would be too wide and would not hold the driver correctly in a lateral impact.
The 34 Series and the 24 Series are the two main child Kirkey seats. The 24 is the simpler 8 degree bucket for Quarter Midget racing; the 34 is the containment version for classes where the car reaches higher speeds and containment is required. A driver moving from Quarter Midget into a junior sprint car would typically step from the 24 Series to the 34 Series.
There is no intermediate size between 12 and 14 inches on the 34 Series. Measure the child’s seated hip width and contact us if the measurement falls between those two options; getting the fit right matters more with a child driver than with an adult, and Kirkey builds custom widths to specification.
