Two platforms under one part number
That span covers the Fox body from 1979 to 1993 and the first four years of the SN95 from 1994. OMP cover both because the floor geometry is close enough between them, which is unusual for nineteen years of production and tells you how little Ford changed underneath.

The cabin is wider than you expect
Which is genuinely useful. Mustang floors are broad by European standards, so shoulder width and bolster clearance are worth checking against the seat rather than assuming a shell that fits a hatchback will suit. You have more room to work with here than in most cars we make frames for.

A Mustang here is either an original left hand drive import or a right hand drive conversion, and most are used for track days rather than competition. Tell us which yours is, because a conversion can change what is under the driver’s seat.

Side mounts and the seat. Steel, black powder coat, no bolts supplied. Drilled for both patterns, 345 by 271mm and 405 by 290mm.

Will this fit my car?

Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern) and 405mm x 290mm (the Recaro seat pattern). If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on OMP frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
