The Bravo and Brava were Fiat’s compact hatchback and saloon from the mid-1990s, built on the 182 platform until December 2001. The Bravo HGT carried a 1.8 16v engine that earned it a reputation as one of the better-handling small Italian hot hatches of its generation, and it built a club following in Italy and the UK. By the time the 182 platform reached the end of its life, the original seats in performance-trim cars were showing their age, and aftermarket sport seat fitment became a sensible upgrade.
Part 862116 is Recaro’s sub-frame for the Bravo and Brava built before December 2001. It mounts to the original floor points without drilling, carries integrated sliding runners, and positions the seat at the height Recaro designed for the 182 floor. The 182 platform uses a relatively simple bracket geometry.
These frames work with Recaro base-mount reclining seats and base-mount bucket seats. Side-mounted competition shells need separate adaptor bars. One frame per seat. If you are working on a Bravo HGT and want to discuss which Recaro reclining seat pairs best with the 182 cabin dimensions, call us. The showroom team can confirm the correct combination.
