The Sparco SPR is a reclining seat on a fibreglass shell. Part number 00906NRNR.
That combination is unusual and it is the reason this seat costs what it does. Almost every reclining sports seat is built on a tubular steel frame with foam and trim over it. The SPR uses a moulded composite shell instead, which is how competition buckets are made, and then adds a recline mechanism to it.
What you get is a shell that holds its shape the way a bucket does, with the everyday usability of a seat that reclines and works with the standard seatbelt. If you want the look and the support of a competition seat in a car you actually drive on the road, this is the honest way to get there rather than fitting a fixed back and regretting it.
Specification
Fibreglass shell, vinyl and suede trim, black with black stitching, base mount, four point harness compatible, no armrests. Sparco list it for all heights and all waist sizes, which is unusual and comes from the shell shape.
Road and Track, with no FIA homologation. It is not a competition seat and it is not meant to be.
Fitting
Base mount, supplied as the seat only, so each side needs a vehicle specific sub-frame. Tell us the car and we will match one.
Vinyl and suede together is a good pairing: the suede grips where you sit and the vinyl takes the wear on the bolsters.
