The OMP 2022 Harness Collection
Harness news, February 2022
We have just updated our entire OMP harness collection. Every OMP belt already on the site now has up to date information, prices and images, and several OMP harnesses are on our online store for the first time.
The range runs from a road approved four point belt to six point FIA harnesses for saloon and formula cars. Here is what is new, and how to pick between them.
- Every OMP harness listing updated with new information, prices and images
- New to our store: the Tecnica 2 Formula, the Tecnica 3 inch saloon and the First 2 inch saloon
- Bundle items added at the checkout, matched to each harness
- Webbing in black, blue or red, depending on the model
- The range starts with a road approved four point belt

What we have changed
The update covers every OMP harness we list. Each listing now explains the approval, the strap widths and how the belt fits, with fresh images and current prices.
We have also added bundle items at the checkout, chosen for each harness. Strap width and approval decide which accessories make sense, so a two inch belt for a head and neck restraint is bundled differently from a three inch saloon belt, and an FIA harness differently from a road one.
New OMP belts on our store
OMP Tecnica 2 Formula. A six point head restraint harness cut for formula cars and prototypes, with two inch shoulder and lap straps and an aircraft style buckle. It is approved to FIA 8853-2016.
OMP Tecnica 3 inch saloon. A six point saloon belt with three inch shoulder and lap straps and lightweight adjusters. Three inch webbing spreads the load across more of the shoulder and is comfortable over a long stint. If you run a HANS device, ask us first, because a three inch shoulder strap does not sit correctly on the yoke and OMP make two inch belts for that job.
OMP First 2 inch saloon. An entry level harness for the clubman competitor. The two inch straps suit a head and neck restraint, and the adjusters have quick grab loops so you can pull them tight wearing race gloves.

The rest of the OMP range
OMP’s four and six point harnesses come in black, blue or red webbing, depending on the model, with the OMP logo on the shoulder straps. The range starts with the OMP Road 4, a road approved four point bolt in belt that suits a road car which does the odd track day. At the competition end, the First 3 inch saloon is a six point FIA belt for club and national racing without a head restraint.
Which one is right depends on how the car is used: fast road, track days, motorsport, or a formula or single seater. Each listing now says which of those it suits. Garreth’s advice is to check the approval your series asks for before anything else. Our guide to four point against six point harnesses explains the layouts, and how to fit a motorsport harness covers the anchor points.
Pairing a harness with an OMP seat
We recommend pairing OMP harnesses with an OMP motorsport seat, because the belt slots are made for them. Our OMP FIA seat range includes the popular TRS and the carbon HTE One. Tell us the seat you are running and we will say which belt suits it.
