Reverie 2021 Update: Our Carbon Seat Range Refreshed
Range update, October 2021
We have updated our entire Reverie range. Every listing now has new images, fuller information and suitable bundle items, so the side mounts, frames and cushion kits that go with a seat can be added from the same page.
Reverie make very light carbon seats, from universal buckets to seats made for specific cars such as the Lotus Elise and Vauxhall VX220, along with the fitting equipment and cushion sets to go with them. Here is how the range fits together.

Single skin and twin skin
Reverie Carbon make their seats in an autoclave, and the range splits into two constructions. A single skin seat has a matt black finish on the rear and is the cheaper option. A twin skin seat has moulded, polished front and back shells bonded together into one stiff, light monocoque.
Reverie quote their twin skin seats as roughly 20% more rigid than the single skin versions, and lighter again. There are low back versions suited to older sports cars, and fully FIA approved racing seats at the top of the range.
The FIA approved seats
Reverie’s FIA approved seats have been impact sled tested in excess of 20G, and the lightest weighs as little as 4.9kg.
They are available side mounted, or with a flat base for use on a sliding rail. The XR C is also offered with or without head supports, which lets the same shape suit different uses.
Narrow seats, Lotus and VX220
The narrow seats, the Mulsanne B, C, X C and XR C, are universal fit using side mounts, but they are also made to suit the Lotus Elise and Vauxhall VX220. They come in single and twin skin, with and without head rests.
In those cars the seats can go on the original Lotus S1 sliding or fixed rails, or on Reverie’s S2 conversion kits for the VX220, S2 Elise and S2 Exige. Tell us the exact car when you order and we will confirm the right kit.
Side mounts, frames and cushion kits
The universal Reverie seats need side mounts to fix them in place, and that fixing is the part that matters most. We sell the carbon fibre and fixed alloy side mounts alongside the seats, and a selection of sub frames including sliding rails.
Cushion kits come in brushed nylon, Technosuede, FIA spacer fabric, vinyl and genuine leather, in narrow and wide versions. The narrow cushion trim kits attach with Velcro and come in a range of colours and fabrics.
