The Recaro Classic LX Star office chair is on our website for the first time. The version we have added is the checked one: black outers with a black, white and red checked fabric centre, the pattern many people will remember from classic hot hatches.

What is on this page
The Classic LX Star
Recaro base the Classic LX Star on their classic car seats from 1984. It has the retro look of black leather combined with the traditional fabrics of that era: classic corduroy, checked cloth and Pepita. Recaro build every Classic seat to the same standard of craftsmanship, and it shows in the detail.
The version new to our site is the checked one. Its black outers frame a centre in black, white and red check, which is the trim that suits a classic car fan’s office best.
For a working chair, the adjustment matters as much as the looks. The Classic LX Star has padded lumbar support that adjusts to the size of the person sitting in it, an adjustable headrest, and a seat cushion shaped for sitting at a desk for long spells.
It has armrests fitted, and the seat itself reclines, just as the car seat it comes from does. It is a proper business chair, not only one for classic car fans.

Our Recaro office chair range
The Classic LX Star joins a range of Recaro office chairs built around Recaro’s car seats. Each premium Recaro office chair has base adaption brackets and armrests made to suit that chair, so the seat sits properly on the office base.
The Sportster CS office chair is a popular alternative, with large shoulder supports and harness slots that look the part in an office or a gaming set up. The Recaro Speed Star takes an original Recaro road car seat and puts it indoors, with the ergonomic features a desk chair needs.
Chairs with an electric backrest
New to our Recaro office range are chairs with an electronically adjusted backrest, the EL versions of the Recaro Expert and Specialist. The backrest is designed to hold you in place while following the natural curve of your spine, and the electric adjustment makes it easy to change position through the day.
