The TRS Window Net Velcro Fastening (part number 24B020) is the larger, velcro-attach version of TRS’s FIA window net range. It measures 57cm x 51cm and is manufactured to the requirements of FIA Appendix J, Article 253-11. The webbing is 25mm with 50mm openings, made in England.
The difference from the standard TRS Window Net (24B000) is the attachment method and the size. The Velcro net is 17cm wider and 9cm taller, and attaches by pressing the net’s velcro border against velcro already fitted to the door surround or A-pillar. No brackets or loops are required. That makes installation cleaner if your car already has velcro bonded to the door frame, and it means the net pulls free quickly at service without reaching for a release mechanism.
In a rally car where you want the net off during road sections and back on before a stage, the velcro method is fast. How it compares to a press-release bracket depends on the individual car and where the brackets are positioned, so both options are worth considering before committing to one system.
Seven colour options: black, red and blue are stocked; green, yellow, silver, pink and orange are manufactured to order. Special sizes can be made to order if your window opening does not suit the standard 57cm x 51cm format. Send us the dimensions before ordering and we will confirm whether a bespoke size is possible and what the lead time would be.
At £45 this is £15 more than the standard loop-fastening net. The size difference and the velcro system both contribute to that price.
