A bolt-down strap for securing spare wheels in rally cars and transporters. Part number 23G500. 25mm webbing, bolt-in fixing, heavy-duty ratchet tightening. Fully adjustable. Made in England by TRS in Doncaster. Available in black, blue, and red.

The spare wheel is one of the more dangerous loose items in a rally car or closed cockpit racer: it has significant mass and is typically mounted in the cabin close to the driver. This strap bolts to the floor or bulkhead through a permanent fixing point, loops over the wheel, and is tightened with a ratchet mechanism. The ratchet holds tension over rough ground without relying on a friction buckle that can loosen with vibration.

Adjustable for different wheel and tyre sizes, and for different mounting positions within the car. The bolt-in fixing means it stays in place permanently between events; this is not a quick-release item. If the spare wheel location changes between builds, the strap can be unbolted and repositioned. The three colour options allow it to match cage, harness, or interior scheme.

TRS harnesses are held in depth

TRS produce in batches and we take deliveries weekly, and we hold large stocks of their most popular models. Most orders go out the same day.

Less common models and colours are a different matter, and can take up to a few weeks.

Ring us before you order and we will check what is on the shelf and confirm the lead time, rather than leaving you to find out after checkout.
