The Tillett PTBI, formerly listed as the TBF1, is the dedicated side mount bracket for the Tillett B6S, B7, B8 and B9 seats. SKU TBF1. Construction is 6 mm aluminium, black.
Side mounts attach to the flanges at each edge of the seat shell and connect it to a fitting frame bolted to the car floor. Running a seat on side mounts gets it lower in most cars than base mounting allows and gives some choice over seat angle through the bolt hole positions.
The 6 mm construction is heavier-gauge than the STBO, which covers a wide range of Tillett models at 5 mm. The PTBI is the seat-specific bracket for the B6S, B7, B8 and B9, built to that narrower application. The STBO also fits those models, so the choice between them comes down to whether you want the bracket designed specifically for those four shells or the broader bracket that works across most of the range.
If you are fitting a B6 or B10 seat rather than the B6S, B7, B8 or B9, the STBO is the correct product. The PTBI is not listed for those models.
Confirm which bracket the fitting frame you are using specifies before ordering. Tillett brackets are designed to work within their own fitting system and the bolt patterns are matched to the seat shells listed.
