The Takata Race Civic EK Bucket Seat Package includes a Takata Race LE competition bucket seat with Civic EK-specific side mount brackets and a Takata Drift III Snap-On harness. The EK is the sixth-generation Civic produced from 1996 to 2000.

The EK carries the B-series engine family in its sport variants, culminating in the EK9 Type R with the B16B: the first B-series to carry the TypeR designation, with 185hp, an 8,500rpm redline, and a close-ratio gearbox. The EK9 was officially sold in the UK, making it one of the first Japanese performance Civics to arrive through official channels. The EK chassis remains consistently popular in UK club motorsport because the suspension geometry, B-series engine support, and low unmodified weight make the basic package competitive without significant investment.

Vehicle-specific side mount brackets in this package are sized for the EK’s floor geometry, which differs from the EG Civic (see the separate EG package) and later Civic generations.

The Drift III harness included is Road and Track approved, not FIA competition legal. Package options: Seat Width (Standard or Excel Width), Sport Seat Position (RHD Driver Side or RHD Passenger Side), Webbing Colour (Black or Green).

What do I need to fit it to my car?

How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.

Availability

The harnesses are stocked, the seats are not

Takata harnesses are produced in batches and we take deliveries weekly, so belts like the Drift III are generally kept in stock for fast dispatch.

Takata seats are a different matter. Each one is handmade to order to Takata specification and takes 4 to 8 weeks. They are not stocked items.

A seat built for your order falls under our special order terms. Tell us your date when you enquire and we will confirm the current production time.

In-store displays:

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.

Working by appointment allows us to dedicate our time with you and provide a personal and professional service. We’ll always ensure you leave with the right equipment for your needs.
