The Sparco BMW Mini R56 sub-frame (00499038-1) is the vehicle-specific floor frame for the second-generation Mini. The R56 runs from 2006 to 2013, covering the Cooper, Cooper S, and JCW hatchback in the main. The R53 that preceded it uses a different frame (00499038).
If you’re not sure which generation Mini you have, the R53 is the earlier round-headlamp car up to 2007. The R56 has a longer wheelbase, sharper styling, and a different interior. Chassis codes are stamped in the door jamb if there’s any doubt.
Like the R53 frame, these are handed. Driver-side and passenger-side are separate parts. Choose the position you need from the options menu; for both sides, add to basket twice. Pricing is £81.20 per frame per seat position.
The top plate uses the standard 345mm x 271mm bolt pattern, compatible with Sparco, OMP, and Corbeau base-mount seats. Sliding runners (0049306) can go between frame and seat if you want fore-aft adjustment.
It comes with a metal bracket that your original seatbelt buckle attaches to, so a reclining or road seat on this frame keeps the car’s own seatbelt. On the R56 the bracket needs a small adjustment to fit, which our guide to fitting the Sparco seat belt bracket explains. It also sits the seat a little higher than the OMP HC818 frame.
Let us know the seat you’re fitting when you place the order and we’ll flag any combination-specific fitment details before it ships. Part number 00499038-1.
