A Sparco direct fit sub-frame for the Alfa Romeo 155. Part number 00499002.
The 155 has a following built on what it did in touring cars, and a good number of the ones still on the road are being built with that in mind. A period correct seat on a direct fit frame is the sensible way to get there, and it keeps the original seats intact for whoever owns the car next.
Fitment
Steel, on the 345mm by 271mm base mount pattern, using the mounting points already in the floor. Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats all use that spacing, whatever older copy on this range claimed.
A side mount competition shell needs side mounts or adaption bars over the frame.
Ordering
Sold singly, one frame per seat, handed between RHD driver and RHD passenger. Order twice for the pair.
Tell us the seat when you order. Frames in this range are either complete replacements or adaption bars depending on the car, and the photograph is illustrative.
If you are after a period look rather than a modern one, tell us. There are retro trimmed shells in the range that suit a car of this age far better than a black competition bucket does.
Have you written anything useful for my car?
Yes: Customer Question: Fitting Cobra GT3 Historic Seats To A 1972 Alfa Romeo GTV 1750, and 2022 Alfa Romeo / Audi Safety Device Roll Cages Updated. Those are written around the same car, from real fittings and customer questions, so they are worth a look before you decide.
Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Alfa Romeo 155. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern). The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Sparco frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
