Homologated to FIA 8855-2021, the current seat standard. That matters commercially as much as technically: the 2021 standard runs longer than 8855-1999 does, so a Matrix bought today stays legal for more seasons than an equivalent 1999 seat. If you are choosing between them on price, compare cost per season rather than ticket price.

Fibreglass rather than carbon is what keeps a current standard seat at this money. It is heavier and it satisfies exactly the same scrutineer.

The mounts are not optional

An 8855-2021 approval applies only when the seat sits on the correct side mountings, which are sold separately. Put this shell on brackets that were never part of the approval and the installation is no longer covered by it. The Matrix and Master Advanced side mounts are the ones to use.

You also need a vehicle specific sub-frame under the mounts. Tell us the car and we will match one.

Ask us to read the manufacture date off current stock before you order, because the expiry runs from when the seat was built.

Sparco produce in batches and we receive Sparco products on a weekly basis, so the popular seats, harnesses and accessories are usually available for quick dispatch.

Less common models and colours are ordered in for you and take longer.
