The Sparco Legend in carbon kevlar. Part number S008021Z.

Two things make this seat unusual. The construction is carbon and kevlar rather than carbon alone, and it is a base mount competition seat, which is rare: almost every FIA homologated bucket is side mount only.

Base mounting matters more than it sounds. It means the seat can go onto a vehicle specific sub-frame without side mounts, which in some cars is the difference between a straightforward installation and a fabrication job. If you have a car where side mounting is awkward, this is worth knowing about.

Kevlar alongside carbon

Carbon is stiff and it fails suddenly. Kevlar is tougher and holds together when it is damaged. Building a shell from both is a way of getting stiffness without the shell being brittle, which is why the combination turns up where impact behaviour matters.

What do I need to fit it to my car?

Sparco stock arrives weekly

Sparco produce in batches and we receive Sparco products on a weekly basis, so the popular seats, harnesses and accessories are usually available for quick dispatch.

Less common models and colours are ordered in for you and take longer.

Tell us when you order and we will confirm the lead time up front rather than after the event. If it is on the shelf we will say so, and if it is coming in on the next delivery we will tell you when that is.
