A fixed-back bucket seat is shaped for lateral support, which is the point, but the fixed rake can put pressure on the back of the thighs depending on your build and the seat’s shell geometry. These cushions sit under the thighs to fill that gap and reduce the pressure point that some drivers notice after 30 or 40 minutes on track. They’re not a substitute for choosing the right seat, but if you’ve got a seat that works well for you laterally and just catches you uncomfortably under the leg on longer stints, these usually address it without needing to change the seat.
Fabric construction, which is practical given these are the part most likely to see friction from getting in and out of the car repeatedly. Velour or leather trims would show wear faster here.
Colour choice is there to match or contrast with your seat trim. Black goes with almost any interior, blue and red are for Sparco seats that already use those accent colours. They attach to the seat using the seat’s existing hardware rather than adhesive, so they can be removed if you want to run without them.
